Trincadeira & Tinta Amarela

Trincadeira is a traditional Portuguese red grape, widely grown in the Alentejo and Tejo, and known as Tinta Amarela in the Douro. It does best in hot, dry conditions and gives wines with red fruit, spice and often herbal notes, with lively acidity. It is mostly used in blends, typically with Aragonês and Alicante Bouschet in the south and with the Tourigas in the Douro. This collection brings together wines made with this grape; check each listing for the full grape list, region and vintage.
