Tinta Roriz & Aragonês

Tinta Roriz and Aragonês are two Portuguese names for the same grape, known in Spain as Tempranillo. It is called Tinta Roriz in the Douro and Dão, and Aragonês in the Alentejo. Wines made with it typically show red fruit and spice with a medium to full body, and the grape takes well to oak ageing. In Portugal it is mostly blended, with Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca in the north and with Trincadeira and Alicante Bouschet in the south. This collection brings together wines made with this grape; check each listing for the full grape list, region and vintage.
