Cabernet Sauvignon
Cabernet Sauvignon is a red grape from Bordeaux in France and one of the best-known grapes in the world. Its small, thick-skinned berries give deeply coloured wines with blackcurrant fruit and firm tannins, and the wines often age well. It is frequently blended with Merlot, and in Portugal it is grown mainly in the Alentejo, Tejo and Lisbon regions, often in blends with Portuguese grapes.
