Madeira Wine

Madeira is a fortified wine from the Portuguese island of Madeira in the Atlantic. It is aged in warm conditions, which gives it a long life once opened. The main styles follow the grape: Sercial (driest), Verdelho, Boal or Bual, and Malvasia or Malmsey (sweetest), with Tinta Negra used for many blends. This collection ranges from young blends to 10 and 20 year old wines and single-harvest Colheita and Frasqueira bottlings from producers such as Blandy's, Barbeito and D'Oliveiras; check each listing for the style, age and bottle size.
